What does this mean? Girls “A” teams, beginning at the 2007 age group, will compete in the GAL against top teams throughout the Northwest. These teams will also participate in GAL tournaments and showcase events against other GAL clubs from across the country. The implementation of the GAL into our player pathway allows our girls to compete at the highest level, gain exposure to more college coaches, and create a more natural pathway to identification from id2 and YNT scouts.

Technical Director, Eddie Henderson: “The Girls Academy League is a tremendous opportunity to expose our players to another platform and level of play which will provide them with a formal pathway to top end competition throughout the country.”

Director of Operations, Macy Jo Harrison: “We cannot be more excited to have been invited into the Girls Academy League. The GAL will provide our current U14+ teams the opportunity to play top level clubs and teams in the Northwest Conference and across the country. Additionally, joining the GAL gives our U13 and younger teams a defined, forward looking pathway, as they grow all the way through the U19 age group."

The leadership of ISC Gunners believes the club-led platform of like-minded directors from across the country is key to success and a natural extension of our Players 1st core values. We embrace the responsibility of being an inaugural member of the Girls Academy League and look forward to contributing to grow and shape the Northwest Conference and entire organization!

We are thrilled to announce that ISC Gunners has accepted an invitation to be inaugural members of the Girls Academy League!

In the wake of the recent closure of the US Soccer Development Academy (DA), the Girls Academy
League (GAL) has been created to provide an opportunity for former Girls DA Clubs to fill that void. This opportunity is also being made available to a select group of non-DA Clubs. The Girls Academy maintains several of the defining standards of the Development Academy with flexibility in two key areas; permission for all players to participate in High School soccer and revising the substitution rules to encourage clubs to better utilize their player pools, especially when showcasing their players to college coaches. The GAL gives autonomy to member clubs to determine what’s best for their membership, taking what worked well in the DA and removing obstacles for players to have a more enjoyable and diverse experience.

The Girls Academy League previously announced 6 conferences made up of some of the best clubs from across the country. We are beyond pleased to accept membership in the 7 th conference here in the Pacific Northwest! The Girls Academy League provides a unique opportunity for ISC Gunners, perfectly suited for the top of the pyramid in our player pathway.  Our girls can now look forward to competing at the highest level throughout the Pacific Northwest and at national events, which will help them to reach their potential both on and off the pitch.
