Community Support
The wellbeing of our players, families and community are of the utmost importance to us. With the recent COVID-19 outbreak we feel it is more important than ever to to support one another. Below are a few ways we can support our local hospitals, medical staff and the most vulnerable in our community. If there is anything that you feel should be added to this list please send a link to support@iscgunners.org. Together, we can defeat COVID-19.
Mami Tran
Mami Tran is preparing to provide meals to students who are affected by the school closures and the nurses/doctors who are working tirelessly to fight this epidemic. With our budget constraint, our outreach will be limited; we decided to reach out to our family and friends to help contribute to our cause. Your contributions will help buy more food and packaging supplies to deliver meals. I know we are all wanting to help our city, so any donation amount will be greatly appreciated! Please PayPal Lizz at lizztran@hotmail.com or Venmo @LizzEng (Elizabeth Eng).
Feed Swedish ER and ICU Staff
We are raising money to feed the Swedish ER and ICU staff because these folks are on the front lines, working double shifts to care for the sickest in our community. We have no idea how much money we need to feed them, but we will feed them as many times as we can with the funds we raise! This is a win-win because not only will we be supporting these healthcare workers, but we will be supporting some local restaurants too! Any donation is welcome, but please know we can't make direct food donations. (We will be ordering everything individually wrapped).
Swedish Medical Supply Donations
Local hospitals are running dangerously low on essential medical supplies. There is currently a cart outside of the Emergency Room at Swedish for the donation of medical supplies. They are specifically in need of gloves and masks (both surgical and N95).
100 Million Mask Challenge
The global demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) has created a severe shortage of PPE across the world. While regular distribution channels ramp up, you can help by making a financial donation to support our COVID-19 response, including obtaining and producing protective gear for our caregivers.
Lunch for the Break
Can you help a family facing food insecurity during the COVID-19 outbreak and the extended school closure?
We need your help, now more than ever, to assist families in our community challenged by loss of work and this extended school closure. Your generosity is essential in helping to bridge the hunger gap for local children during this public health crisis. In addition to our Lunch for the Break week of April 6th, we are partnering with the Issaquah Schools Foundation to ensure students' nutritional needs are being met throughout the extended school closure.
Eastside Baby Corner
The number of families who need basics to care for their children will be increasing as time goes by. Thousands of people, many of whom live paycheck to paycheck, are already losing their jobs or experiencing reduced hours in response to social distancing measures.Your donations of packaged diapers, cans of formula, unopened packages of diaper wipes, new clothes and shoes will be gratefully accepted.
Donations of these vital essentials can be made during standard drop off hours or purchased online through the EBC Giving Catalog.
