2014 ISC AGM Summary and Election Results
2014 Annual General Meeting Summary and Election Results
ISC Members,
We would like to provide a brief summary of the AGM that took place on Wednesday December 17th.
- Attendance - We had over 150 member in attendance, and over 100 voting members. Amazing involvement and participation from our families.
- Presentation - A copy of the AGM presentation can be found here. The agenda included the following items that all can be found in the presentation:
-
- Executive Director Update
- Financial Update
- EYSA Futures Discussion
- Election process
- Board Election - ISC requested a 3rd party group to assist us in validating the election process. Several representatives from Washington Youth Soccer (WYS) and EYSA were in attendance, and two representatives from WYS monitored the election process and counted the ballots. After the ballots were submitted and counted, the representatives from WYS were able to declare winners for each board position. The representatives are preparing a summary of the election process and results, and we will post it with the AGM presentation on the Club website immediately when we receive it. Thank you to all of the board candidates, and a special thank you to our retiring board members (Guy Ellis, Casey Stenzel and Jerrod Schei) for volunteering your valuable time and energy to the Club. The newly elected board members are as follows:
- President: Randy Beighle
- Vice President: Luis Perla
- Secretary: Paul Dolan
- Treasurer: Shawn Mulqueeney
- At Large 2 Year Term: Jody Turner, David Kremer, Steve Larsen, Jeff Newell, Todd Larsen
- At Large 1 Year Term: Onti Rosen, Thomas Wybenga, Tom Walker
The new board members will join our continuing board members, Kathy Miller and Whitney Gardner.
- EYSA Futures Discussion - During the vote count, the President and Vice-President of EYSA participated in an open Q&A concerning the "EYSA Futures" project. Key points to their report can be found in the AGM PowerPoint presentation. During the Q&A, the conversation was spirited with both sides coming away with more questions than answers. We would like to make a couple of points:
-
- DRAFT Proposal: ISC has not received an approved proposal from EYSA at this time. Anything presented was draft only and subject to change.
- Membership Involvement: This was the Club's first opportunity to get the EYSA draft proposal in front of the membership. There will be several more opportunities for all members to be involved and discuss and understand the ramifications of any official proposal. The ISC board will also look to develop an advisory committee that will be involved in the EYSA futures project moving forward
- Next Steps: The Future of EYSA process will continue with meetings in early 2015. ISC representatives will continue to advocate for ISC's position in that process.
We thank you for the incredible engagement during this AGM process, and we hope that everyone continues to stay involved and support the club moving forward.
Thank You,
ISC Gunners FC
