Eddie Henderson Joins the ISC Staff as Technical Director

We are pleased to announce the addition of Eddie Henderson to the ISC Gunners coaching staff as Technical Director. Eddie brings an incredible amount of experience and education to the Gunners family. Eddie has an impressive background and experience including:

Eddie Henderson (born September 11, 2025 in Seattle, Washington) is a retired U.S. soccer player and new technical director of the ISC Gunners. Henderson spent two seasons in the Western Soccer League, one in the American Professional Soccer League, one season in the Major Soccer League and seven in the National Professional Soccer League. He also played for the U.S. at the U-17 and U-20 levels, appearing in the U20 World Cup in Chile in 1987.

Henderson, the youngest of 18 children, grew up in Seattle, Washington where he played for the Seattle Kickers, a local youth club. In 1985 the Kickers won the WSYSA championship. Henderson attended O'Dea High School where he played both basketball and soccer. While in high school, Henderson was drafted by the Tacoma Stars of the Major Indoor Soccer League. However, Henderson opted for a college career and attended the University of Washington from 1985 to 1989 where he played on the men's soccer team. In 1989, he was a third team All American. He finished his four years with 29 goals and 21 assists and is featured in the UW Hall of fame.

Henderson spent two seasons outdoors as a forward with the Seattle Storm of the Western Soccer League (WSL). In 1988, he was selected as a first team WSL All Star. In 1989, he was a second team All Star. After graduating from the University of Washington, Henderson spent one more season with the Storm in the American Professional Soccer League, the last in its existence as it folded at the end of the 1990 season. The Tacoma Stars of the Major Indoor Soccer League drafted Henderson, but he signed with the San Diego Sockers. The Sockers cut him four games into the 1990-1991 season and he signed with the Milwaukee Wave of the American Indoor Soccer Association in January 1991. Henderson spent 2 seasons in Milwaukee before being traded to the Wichita Wings. In 1992, Henderson signed with the Wichita Wings of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) and remained with the team through the 1997-1998 season.

In 1994, Henderson passed the Series 7 Exam to start investing money and in preparation for an eventual career in investment banking. After retiring from professional soccer in 1998, Henderson became a full time stockbroker in Kansas. After a very successful career as a stockbroker and bond trader, Henderson decided that he had been away from the game for too long, so he put his stockbroker career on hold and went into coaching, moving to Las Vegas NV in 2004 to become the State Director of Coaching, holding the position for 4 years. Henderson would spend 6 more years in Las Vegas, later becoming the Technical Director of Neusport Football Club and then Heat FC Nevada until eventually making his way back home to Seattle after 23 years. In 2014, Henderson had a successful stint at the Puget Sound Premier League as their Technical Director and Academy Director and moved onto ISC Gunners where he is currently employed and enjoying his time back home.
