LFC IA Washington: Grassroots (Select)

The LFC IA Washington Grassroots program plays 6 months out of the year (June - November). The teams are selected through a tryout process in the Winter/Spring and are led by a volunteer coach or a paid coach provided by LFC IA Washington.

The objective of the Grassroots program is to provide an opportunity that develop players at a high level without the time and financial commitments of Premier/Academy level soccer.

Interested players must tryout for the Grassroots program and should be willing to meet a higher level of commitment than Mini Reds (recreational) soccer. Most Grassroots teams play in the Washington Premier League (WPL). Depending upon the division the team is placed into, travel for away games can be anywhere in the state. Tryouts for our Grassroots program take place at the same time as our Premier tryouts - this can be found under the “Tryouts” tab above. Please select “Grassroots” while registering for tryouts so that we know the commitment level of your player!
