ISC Gunners Premier is the Club's most competitive youth program for training and play. The program runs a full year which includes a Fall and Spring season as well as 2 or more tournaments during the year (depending on the age of the team). The teams are selected through a tryout process in the spring and are instructed and trained by a paid, professional coach.
Our objective is to provide every player the greatest opportunity to develop their soccer skills, discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork. This is accomplished by hiring the most experienced and qualified professional trainers that have a passion for the game and the desire and enthusiasm to educate young players. Each player is provided instruction based upon a proven curriculum that is age appropriate and commensurate with the skill level of the players.
Interested players must tryout for the Premier program and must be willing to commit for the entire year. Our U13-U18 Boys & Girls "A" teams compete in highly competitive youth national leagues - the Elite Academy (EA) and Girls Academy (GA) respectively. Our U9-U12 teams and all B & C teams compete locally in the Puget Sound Premier League (PSPL). Depending upon the league & division placement of the team, travel for away games can occasionally be anywhere in the State, with the possibility of out of state league games for EA & GA teams.
Frequently Asked Questions
When are tryouts?
Tryouts take place in late February for all Boys High School Teams (2007-2004 Birth Years) and in April and May for Boys 2008-2015 Birth Years and Girls 2015-2004 Birth Years.
What ages are teams formed at?
We form Premier teams starting at 7 years old (birth year 2015) up to 18 (birth year 2004). The number of teams formed is determined by the pool of players that tryout.
All of the Premier coaches are paid employees of the Club. Most have advanced licensing from either the USSF, NSCAA or UEFA. All of our premier coaches are full time employees as this is their dedicated profession.
Each Premier team has a parent volunteer to act as the team manager. If you are interested in learning more about this role, please contact Colleen Fodness (email@example.com) or visit the Manager Page.
A typical Gunners Premier team will play three or more tournaments during the year; a Fall league; a Spring league and possibly a State Cup tournament.
During the season, all A teams practice three times a week while B & C teams will train at least twice per week. Teams will typically have one game each weekend during the Fall/Winter/Spring league seasons. Occasionally teams play double headers over a weekend when traveling to venues requiring an overnight stay.
The season for High School girls occurs during the Summer and Winter/Spring (June - August, November - April). The girls are off during the fall to avoid conflicts with the Girls High School Season.
The season for High School boys occurs during the Summer and Fall/Winter (June - February). The boys finish in February to avoid conflicts with the Boys High School Season in the Spring, and return to Club training at the start of the new season.
Home games for the teams are played at our soccer complex inside Lake Sammamish State Park during the late Spring, Summer and Fall time periods. Late Fall and Winter games are held on turf fields in and around the cities of Issaquah, Sammamish and North Bend.

Trapped Birth Year- High School School Refund Policy: We have built our program prices to account for the time off for the girls and boys high school seasons, including the Academy team fees which also accounts for higher expenses than the WPL teams. Accordingly, there are no refunds for the high school soccer seasons. However, the trapped year teams are in a unique situation where they have players in both middle school and high school, so they do not take the high school season off. Those team fees reflect no break for high school soccer as a default as some of those players can do one or the other. For trapped year high school players only, we will refund $150 in team fees if requested for those players who make their high school team. No other high school season discounts are available.
