Covid 19 Training Format
We are thrilled to announce our first ever Spring Recreation Program. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this program will will look very similar to our Fall Rec Program. Our staff has worked to put together the best possible program to allow our youngest players to learn and enjoy the beautiful game while continuing to adhere to strict government mandated safety protocols. We believe that kids need an outlet and that we are able to provide a program for children to play in a safe environment.
*Final Day to register is February 26th, 2021

New Spring 2021 Volunteer Parent Coaches please register HERE.
A Few Things to Note:
Per Governor Inslee’s guidelines, NO spectators are allowed; this includes parents; only players, coaches and volunteers are allowed on the field at any given time for all practice sessions.
Parent volunteers will walk players to their fields and walk players to the pickup area following the session to meet their parents. A volunteer sign up will be sent once teams have been formed.
Our curriculum is developed to be fun, interactive and dynamic while adhering to all government recommended safety guidelines. At this time, no scheduled games will be played (per guidelines). Once specific teams are formed and finalized, we will be able to play Intrasquad games. Meaning small sided games with players on the roster of the same team.
Players will focus on learning ball skills, using technical moves, and learning the basic fundamentals of soccer, working with our Premier Coaching Staff. Check out our Premier coach Bio’s here.
Team Formations, Jerseys & Coach Assignments:
Teams will be formed per the registration buddy requests and by school as per normal. Please note that we do our very best to meet all buddy requests, but these are not guaranteed. Formed teams will train together each week. If you are new to the team you will receive a shirt the first week of training. All teams will need a volunteer coach as per normal. This spring season, you must have a parent to coach the team.
Team Formations & Coach Assignments Finalization Date: Feb 28th 11:58pm
Team Formations Sent to All Families: March 5th
Team Field Assignments:
Each recreation team will be assigned a specific field location to train at for the duration of the program (all 6 weeks).
For example: Field 7A - GU5 Neon Pink Cheetahs; Field 7B - GU5 Royal Blue Dolphins
Field Assignment Maps will be sent to all recreation families on March 5th in conjunction with team formations!
As many of you might be aware, the Puget Sound Region which includes King County moved into Phase 2 as of Mon. Feb. 1st, and will remain in Phase 2 through Sun. Feb. 14th. On Fri. Feb. 12th, the DOH will announce whether we remain in Phase 2, or revert back to Phase 1 - again, beginning the following Monday and continuing for two weeks ending on a Sunday. Phase 2 means that we can play proper soccer games against other teams with all players, and volunteer coaches required to wear masks at all times.
If we are to remain in Phase 2 when our recreation program begins, we will run the recreation program as per normal with weekend games between teams in the same gender and age group, with volunteer coaches leading those games in full. At anytime if we are to revert back to Phase 1, the recreation program will run with volunteer coaches managing intra-squad games ONLY - NO games with other teams will be allowed per the guidelines.
We will continue to keep all of our amazing recreation families updated as we progress through the next several weeks!
Details on this are TBD – we will update all families if/when we move into Phase 3 in King County.
We are looking forward to seeing you on the pitch!
