The Club would like to thank you for volunteering to coach and we greatly appreciate your time and devotion to our players. We rely heavily on volunteer coaches to help run the recreation programs and every year it takes over 200 volunteer coaches to make our programs successful. Without your help, it would be extremely difficult to serve the nearly 2000 recreation players in the Club.
What do I have to do to volunteer?
First, you'll need to register with the Club. To do that, click the link above then choose the appropriate age group and follow the instructions. Once you submit your information you will receive a follow up email with instructions on how to complete your registration.
What is the time commitment?
U5-U6, about 75 minutes per week (one training/game session)
U7-U8, about 2 and a half hours per week (one training session and one game)
U9-U12, about 5 hours per week (two training sessions and one game)
Annual Coaches Meeting:
Every year in late July we have an orientation meeting for the coaches of the U7-U12 teams. At the meeting we will go over the events of the upcoming year, confirm all aspects of the program, hand out practice equipment (cones, pinnies, etc) and answer any questions you may have.
When are practices and games?
The time and location of practices is up to you. The forms can be found below to request your practice time and location. Game times and days also vary by age group. Please go to the specific program page and review the information under the Time Commitment heading.
What do I do for practices?
We provide a Coaches Dropbox for ISC coaches only that contains over 20 coaching sessions and soccer manuals for coaches to use.
Do I need a coaching license?
No. To coach recreation soccer you are not required to have a coaching license.
