"Our partnership with SEC is a huge step in the right direction for our college prep program. While our staff can provide all the coaching and know-how players need to navigate the recruiting process, that's only a few pieces of the puzzle. SEC completes the picture and ensures our players will be supported in their academic endeavors as well as their athletic goals."

-Amanda Axelson, Gunners CPP Director

About SEC's SAT Program: SEC's SAT Program is designed to help students gain confidence, score higher, and get into the college of their dreams. The diagnostic test is used to identify which areas students can work to improve and which areas the student is already doing well in. The results of the test will be shared with the student and their parents in an individual meeting with either the SEC Principal or the SEC SAT Program Director. After receiving the results of the test, students may opt to sign up for the full SAT Prep Course which is catered to each individual based on their strengths and weaknesses.

SEC's SAT Program sees students improve their scores an average of 150-250 points! Typically the diagnostic test is $85 but will be offered to Gunners players free of charge!

About SEC's High School Credit Courses: Because of SEC's affiliation with Solomon International School, Solomon Education Center can give High School Credit and even their own transcripts to students. They offer an array of courses in nearly every subject. Students can choose between AP, Honors, and Regular courses.

The benefit of taking these courses at SEC? Students work 1-on-1 or 2-on-1 with a teacher to ensure that they are understanding course material and scoring well on their quizzes and tests. They get feedback immediately, and they can even re-do course work as many times as they need to meet requirements.

SEC's courses can be used to catch up on or improve a low GPA. Students who failed a class can retake it with them for a higher grade. They can also take additional classes to improve their overall GPA. Electives, AP, or Honors classes are a great way to do this!

Students can also get ahead by taking courses at SEC. For example, a student taking Geometry this school year can get ahead by taking Algebra 2 with us any time of year, transferring the credit to their school, and then taking Pre-Calculus next school year. Alternatively, students could use SEC classes as a bridge into their school’s AP classes. For example, many students will take Honors English with SEC so they will have an easier time (and a higher chance of a good grade) in AP Literature and Composition or AP Language the next school year.

Here are some of SEC's course offerings:

English 9, 10, 11, 12 (Regular and Honors)
Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, AP Calculus
