ISC Gunners: Winter Academy 2023

    • Boys: 5:00pm - 6:15pm

    • Girls: 6:30pm - 7:45pm

    • Boys & Girls GK Session: 6:30-7:45pm

  • Dates: 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, & 2/10 (Potential Make-up Dates: 3/3 + 3/10)

  • Price: $300 (before 12/11/22) | $325 (after 12/11/22) *Pricing includes an ISC rain jacket!

Looking to improve your soccer skills? You have came to the right place! The ISC Gunners: Winter Academy is designed to take players from basic fundamental skills and game awareness, to advanced ball control and knowledge of the game. This camp is led by ISC Gunners Premier coaching staff & our GK Director, Ike Onyeador. Our coaching staff will be following the play-practice-play model that has been implemented by US Soccer. We feel this training structure will allow for players to have a fun soccer experience while also receiving high quality training that is in the best interest of player development. Field Players will be placed in groups based on their age and will all receive training from our Directors and our Premier coaching staff. Below are some of the topics our staff will cover during the Winter Academy:


Week 1: Foundations

Week 2: Turning & Change of Direction

Week 3: Dribbling Skills: Attacking & 1v1 Situations

Week 4: Ball Striking: Passing

Week 5: Ball Striking: Finishing

Week 6: Fun & Games!



Goalkeepers will be placed in groups based on age and will receive training from our Goalkeeping Director, Ike Onyeador, as well as our Premier coaching staff. Below are some of the topics that will be covered during the Winter Academy: 


Week 1: Basic Ball Handling: Footwork/Movement & Positioning/Angles

Week 2: Shot Stopping

Week 3: 1v1's/Breakaways

Week 4: Dealing with Crosses

Week 5: Distribution

Week 6: Fun & Games!

Mask Policy:

There is currently no masking requirements for outdoor activities required by the CDC. Of course, masks are welcome if you or your child would prefer to wear a mask at training. Please be safe and do not attend a training if you have been exposed or have any symptoms related to Covid-19 or any other illness. 

*Spectators are encouraged but, will need to remain OUTSIDE of the fence at all times*
